Caer Mynydd Caravan Park |
|
The breathtaking lake Brenig with fishing, water sports, picnics and walking 7 miles away in Forestry Commission land. The lake is accessed across Denbigh moors. July 2000 saw the arrival of Kath and Alan Welch to Caer Mynydd when the owners retires. Since the early seventies Mrs D. Davies ran the site while her husband farmed the land around the site. The site was ready for new ideas, but retaining the country atmosphere. Planning has been given for a toilet block, roadway and landscaping, work will be underway in time for 2002. Caer Mynydd is situated up a steep hill at the junction with the hamlet Saron. There are no shops in Saron and the nearest pub is approximately 3 miles away in Cyffylliog. The sky at night is wonderful up here more stars than you have ever seen. Rhyl is about 15 miles away for the beach, fun fair and night life, go there and come back to the peace and quiet of Saron. St Asaph with it's beautiful cathedral, tweed mill factory outlet, pubs and eating places is just below Denbigh on the way to Rhyl. We now have a fully refurbished Granary cottage to let for weekends or weekly. Please contact us for more information. |
